Research has shown that alcohol can destroy liver cells and cause liver cirrhosis. Be very careful not to go overboard when you go out for drinks, it could damage your liver permanently!
4: Exposure To Toxins
We are exposed to a lot of toxins every day. From cleaning products to pesticides and aerosol products. These toxins can injure your liver cells and cause severe damage. Limit your exposure to these toxins and ventilate all rooms if you suspect exposure.
5: OTC Medications
Large doses of drugs of painkillers and fever-reducing drugs like Tylenol and Advil can cause liver injury. Always consult your doctor before taking any drugs and avoid overdosing on drugs.
6: Too Much Vitamin A
Vitamin A is great for your eyes, strengthens bones, and supports your immune system. But a high dosage of vitamin A is toxic to the liver.Never take more than 10,000 IU of Vitamin A in a day. If you’re already eating healthy, you can skip consuming vitamin tablets to prevent overconsumption of vitamin A.
Some antidepressants like Dilantin can harm your liver. Older people or anyone taking a lot of other meds are at higher risk because their liver may be damaged already.
